Made with frozen raspberries, cane sugar, and lemon juice.
Makes: 1+ large Mason jars
- 9 cups of frozen berries (one full 1.5 kg bag of raspberries)
- 3 cups of cane sugar
- 3 tbsp of lemon juice (Realemon brand)
Added all ingredients at once, brought to a boil (level 5).
Then simmered on level 2.4 for about 60 minutes. Jam didn’t spit and spatter, because it was at a lower temperature.
Jam is quite tart, just how Dena likes it.
Bottle while hot.
This recipe, like the blueberry and strawberry jam recipes, doesn’t use any added pectin. By reducing the water content and chilling in the fridge, it sets up quite well.
